What will I need for my new puppy

Welcome to Poodle-Doodles Standard Breeder

Welcome to Poodle-Doodles Standard Breeder

Getting a puppy is a really exciting time, but there's lots to think about beforehand. From deciding whether a puppy is the right pet for you, to bringing them home.  Before you adopt a new puppy make sure that you have done your research on the breed as well as the breeder. The two most asked questions that I am asked is what will I need to get for my new puppy and what shots will my puppy need I will try to answer the questions here.

1. What will I need for the puppy, this is my suggestion of all the things that you will need.

  • A crate and/or bed
  • Food and water bowls
  • A complete puppy food (you will go home with the food that your puppy is eating )
  • Collar and tag (a legal requirement)
  • Lead (and harness)
  • Car restraint
  • Lots of toys
  • Puppy pads for toilet training
  • Poo bags
  • A brush or comb for grooming
  • Toothpaste (one for dogs!) and toothbrush
  • Dog shampoo
  • Blankets
  • And more toys
  • Schedule an new puppy  appointment with your vet as soon as you can  .it is best to have your new puppy seen by your vet with in the first 3 days they are home with you

2. What shots will my puppy need? First I am not a vet the best thing to do is ask your vet this question. The puppy will have their 1st set of shots a 5 in one and an bordetella. And has been dewormed at 2, 4, 6, 8 weeks old
